Quicktime server for languages down

The server which hosts streaming Quicktime movies for foreign language classes is currently down. Full time staff are currently working to fix the server.
[UPDATE 2004-10-06] According to full time staff the server is back up and running now.

Exchange Mode Experiencing Problems

Starting around 8 this evening, students started reporting problems accessing their e-mail through Outlook in Exchange mode. While we work to determine the cause of the problems, you can use a few other methods for accessing e-mail. Brief Network Outagae

This was a brief network outage this evening at just after midnight for between 3 and 5 minutes while the core network router and switch were rebooted in order to update them to a more recent operating system. News server is down

The vendor of the news server that the Claremont Colleges subscribes to is reporting a problem with their new accounting/authorization system, and much of the authorization data was lost. Brief DNS outage

Around 6 this evening, the servers that convert IP addresses to domain names were unrechable from on campus. The network adminstrator was called and service was restored within 15 minutes. We apologize for the interruption in service. Thanks
