Network Problems This Evening

This evening starting at around 9 PM the academic and Lab networks started having internet connectivity problems. The student networks were, for the most part, unaffected. Network services staff were contacted and resolved the problem around 10:15. The problem was caused by a minor misconfiguration relating to the DNS servers.

Internet Problems Fixed

The problems that were occuring earlier today with Internet access appear to be resolved. It appears the problem was outside of the Pomona network. If you are still having problems please contact the ITS helpdesk at x18062.

We are currently have connection problems to the wider Internet and some internal websites. The appropriate personnel have been notified and are working to correct the problem.
