This evening between 11pm and 1am, the Exchange e-mail servers will be down for about fifteen minutes. This means that if you have set your e-mail client to use Exchange mode, you will be unable to access your e-mail during this period of time.
Last night starting at about 3 AM student POP3 and IMAP mail services appear to have failed. This failue does not appear to have impacted people using Webmail to access e-mail, although it would have prevented people from using SquirrelMail. Student userspaces on Fargo will go down briefly at 5pm today. This should be a very brief outage, but you should save your work just in case.

We’re having an outage on the student email servers right now. Staff are investigating the problem, but as of yet we don’t know when it will be back up. Faculty and staff email seems to be working normally. As always, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Contrary to my last post, the outage is due to a migration of where your email is being stored.
