Apple Laptop Battery Recall
It’s Apple’s turn!
Apple has recently submitted a recall for batteries which may have been installed in iBooks or Powerbooks between October 2003 and summer of 2006. Instructions for determining whether yours is affected are at the Apple support site.
If you need assistance determining the serial number of your machine and/or your battery, please call or email the Helpdesk. If you choose to do this independently, be aware that as of Friday a.m. 8/25 I have not been able yet to submit the serial number combination of an affected machine so I am not certain if the serial number validation is working.–Julie
