Director’s Office
Client Services
- Provide troubleshooting support for hardware and software problems at the desktop.
- Provide Resnet Services to support student computing in the residence halls.
- Offer IT Help Desk services that provide timely, quality response to the resolution of user technology issues and problems.
- Manage the hardware and software within the public computing labs
- Provide training opportunities for College staff to gain both the skills needed to do their work as well as acquire new skills that may enhance the performance of their responsibilities.
- Manage the College’s desktop computer/printer life cycle replacement program.
- Assist and consult with equipment purchasing decisions
- Coordinate communications with the campus community.
Instructional Services
- Advise the campus on current and emerging learning technologies.
- Assist the faculty in developing and enhancing their use of instructional technologies.
- Provide support for the use of multimedia within classroom instruction.
- Provide support for the development of instructional materials, including web enhanced learning, video streaming, digital imaging, etc.
Media and Classroom Services
- Provide media services in support of curricular and co-curricular activities.
- Support and maintain the college’s meeting
spaces and instructional classrooms
- Design and installation of classroom technology
- Assist and consult with media related equipment purchasing decisions
- Provide support for videoconferencing
Information Systems
- Develop and maintain plans for the use of enterprise data systems including: the administrative information system, email and Internet technologies in support of the College’s business and educational objectives.
- Provide users with professional and technical support in the use of the College’s enterprise data systems.
- Assist the College and specific units with planning for and implementing new web-based technologies.
- Provide secure information systems, including the implementation of data redundancy and recovery.
Network Services
- Provide and maintain a secure, stable, reliable data network environment for the College.
- Responsible for administration and management of servers and campus network.
- Responsible for overall security and disaster recovery.
- Adopt standard IT benchmarks and gather data to measure system performance and the quality of services.
