Student Employment

ITS offers free computer support to all students through the student-staffed ITS Helpdesk located in the Cowart Information Technology Building; we are located at the end of 7th street, one block east of College. Student staff provide technical assistance in a number of ways:

  • Students may call the ITS Helpdesk (x18062) during staffed hours and a student consultant will be glad to assist you with the problem over the phone.
  • If the problem is too complex to be handled over the phone or requires the consultant present, then laptop owners may bring their machine to ITS during helpdesk hours. Desktop users may call the Helpdesk (x18062) and schedule a time for a consultant to make a room visit.

Student staff provide helpdesk phone support in shifts spread throughout the week during the school year. The student helpdesk is staffed during these hours:

  • Mon – Thur 9am to Midnight
  • Fri 9am to 5pm
  • Sat 1pm to 5pm
  • Sun 1pm to Midnight
