Pomona Academic Calendar

The Pomona College Academic Calendar is managed by the Office of the Registrar. To see the current official calendar please see the Registrar’s academic calendar page.

ITS made a downloadable version of this calendar which you can bring in to your favorite calendar application. If you have any trouble with this, please let us know.

Many (but not all) calendar applications will recognize the file when you click the link, and will automatically add the calendar. Below are instructions for importing the calendar into Microsoft Outlook and Apple Calendar.

Calendar Import Instructions:

 

Microsoft Outlook 2010/2013

  1. Download the Pomona College calendar to your local computer: Pomona_Academic_Calendar-2013_2014.ics
    Take note where you save the file.
  2. Outlook 2010: go the File menu, and select Open > Import
    Outlook 2013: go the File menu, and select Open & Export > Import/Export
  3. From the Import and Export Wizard, select Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs). Click Next.
  4. Navigate to the where you saved the calendar file. Select the file, and click OK.
  5. You will be prompted with a decision to import this calendar into a new calendar or to import it as items in your calendar. Select the Option that you prefer.
    • Open as New:
      This option will import the Pomona College calendar into a separate calendar in Outlook. College holidays will not show on your regular Exchange calendar, and you will show as available for meetings on College holidays.
    • Import:
      This option will add the Pomona College calendar to your primary Exchange calendar. You will see days of note on your main calendar, and you will be shown as “Out of the Office” on College holidays.

 

Microsoft Outlook 2011

  1. Download the Pomona College calendar to your local computer: Pomona_Academic_Calendar-2013_2014.ics
    Take note where you save the file.
  2. In Outlook, navigate to your calendar from the navigation pane, and confirm Exchange calendar is open for view. (Unless you have multiple accounts configured in Outlook 2011, Exchange should be your default calendar view.)
  3. Drag the downloaded calendar file from the saved location into the Outlook Calendar view, and drop it within the window.
  4. The College holidays will now appear in your Outlook 2011 calendar, and you will be shown as “Out of the Office” on College holidays.

 

Apple Calendar

  1. Download the Pomona College calendar to your local computer: Pomona_Academic_Calendar-2013_2014.ics
    Take note where you save the file.
  2. In Calendar, go the File menu, and select Import > Import…
  3. Navigate to the where you saved the calendar file. Select the file, and click Import.
  4. Select your Pomona College Exchange calendar from the drop-down menu, and click OK.
