Account Help

Information Technology Services requires an account on the College computing systems to use campus computers. There are two types of accounts, Windows and Exchange (e-mail) which are available free to all Pomona faculty, staff and students. Windows accounts are available to students of the other Claremont Colleges who are taking classes at Pomona College. All accounts are subject to the Appropriate Use of Campus Computing and Network Resourcesof Pomona College.

How to Request an Account

If you are a Pomona College student, your Windows and Exchange accounts are generated automatically. New Pomona students will have their account information mailed to them.

If you are a student of one of the Claremont Colleges and are enrolled in a class at Pomona College, you may request a Windows account by going in person to the consultant desk or sending an e-mail to helpdesk@pomona.edu with the following information:

  • First, middle and last name
  • College you attend
  • Your college ID number
  • The Pomona class you are taking
  • The name of the professor of that class
  • An e-mail address so that we can notify you when your account is ready for pick-up
  • Telephone number

Account information must be picked up in person with a valid student or staff/faculty ID. Accounts may be picked up at Helpdesk in the Information Technology Building during staffed hours.
