Department Labs

Andrews (Mathematics/Physics)

Mathematics
The Andrews Mathematics classroom computer lab is located on the 2nd floor of Andrews, room 257. (Andrews is the small building attached to the east end of Millikan.) The classroom contains approximately 15 PCs, all running Microsoft Windows.
Hours:
The lab is open whenever you can get into the building. The outer doors to Andrew/Millikan open on weekdays at 8AM and lock at 5PM. After 5PM and on weekends, you must swipe your Pomona ID through one of the card readers outside Andrew to gain access to the building.
Physics
The Andrews Physics computer classroom is located in Andrews, room 158 and has 9 PCs each dual-booting into Windows-based operating system or linux.
Hours:
The outer doors to Andrew/Millikan open on weekdays at 8AM and lock at 5PM. After 5PM and on weekends, you must swipe your Pomona ID through one of the card readers outside Andrew to gain access to the building. Entrance to the lab is gained via a door code.

FLRC (Foreign Language Resource Center)

The FLRC is located in Mason Hall on the Pomona College Campus, on the first floor in room 101, right by the main entrance.
Hours: Opening hours for the fall semester 2008 are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday; 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday

Hahn (Social Sciences)

The Hahn Computer Lab is located on the second floor of Hahn in the middle of the building (room 204). It is accessible from the main walkway on the east side of the second floor. The lab contains a large classroom with approximately 25 PCs. There are also 3 Macintoshes and 4 PCs in a smaller room (room 201) adjacent to the classroom.

Hours:
During the school year, the lab is open Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM. During winter and summer breaks, the lab is open Monday to Friday from 8AM to 4:30PM.

Lincoln Edmunds Building

Computer Science
The CS computer classroom lab is located in Edmunds 229, and contains approximately 30 apple computers. Additionally there is a lab of Linux machines across the hall in room 227. Both labs require a special DCI account. For more information visit portal.dci.pomona.edu

The lab is open whenever you can get into the building. The outer doors to Lincoln Edmunds open on weekdays at 8AM and lock at 6PM. There is swipe access for access after 6 and on weekends.
Geology
The Geology computer classroom lab is located in Edmunds, room 248 and contains approximately 14 windows-based units.
Linguistics and Cognitive Science
The Linguistics and Cognitive Science computer lab is located in Edmunds and contains approximately 7 windows-based units and 5 Imacs.
Neurology
The Neurology computer lab is located in Lincoln and contains approximately 12 Imacs which dual boot MacOS X and Windows XP.
Psychology
The Psychology computer classroom lab is located in Lincoln and contains approximately 17 Imacs which dual boot MacOS X and Windows XP. Further available are 7 Imacs which run MacOS X only.

Rembrandt – DARPA (Art)

The digital arts classroom in Rembrandt has approximately 20 apple G5 tower units running MacOs X. Additionally Rembrandt hosts two tiny labs: An Electronics Arts lab with 3 windows-based units and the 2nd floor Photo Lab which has 2 apple G5 tower units running MacOs X.

Seaver South (Biology)

The Biology Department in Seaver South has a department lab in room 108b which includes 12 Apple Imacs, a solitary windows-based unit and a department poster printer.

Seaver North (Chemistry)

The Chemistry Department lab is located in room 113 Seaver North and has 12 windows-based units. Amongst other smaller computer labs, there is also an advanced computing lab in room 205.
