Minimum System Requirements
Note: These are minimum requirements to connect your computer to the Pomona network. Computers meeting these basic specifications may not be able to perform many common tasks.
Minimum Requirements – Windows
- Your PC must have have an ethernet port.
- Your PC must be running a supported anti-virus program. If you do not have one of the supported programs, we can install McAfee VirusScan for free.
- Your PC must be running Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista.
If you are running an older operating system (such as Windows 98), ITS can upgrade you to Windows 2000 or Windows XP for free.
Hardware requirements for Windows 2000:
64MB of RAM
3GB or larger hard drive
CD-ROM drive (or at least 2GB of free hard drive space).
Hardware requirements for Windows XP:
128MB of RAM
3GB or larger hard drive
CD-ROM drive (or at least 2GB of free hard drive space).
Hardware requirements for Windows Vista:
512MB of RAM
20GB or larger hard drive
DVD-ROM drive
Minimum Requirements – Macintosh
- Your Mac must have an ethernet port
- Your Mac must run OS X version 10.3 or newer
Hardware requirements for Mac OS 10.3:
at least a G3 processor
built-in USB
128 MB of RAM (256 Recommended)
