Forgotten Password
If you forgot your password, go to:
https://mypassword.pomona.edu
Log in with your username, and select “Answer personal questions”
You will be prompted with security questions that you set up with your Pomona account. Answer them correctly, and the system will give you your password.
If answering the security questions doesn’t work, or you’ve forgotten the answers, ITS can reset your password for you — just come to the helpdesk with your ID.

Password Requirements
To protect your account, and for the security of everyone on the network, Pomona requires “strong” passwords.
- Your password must be at least 8 characters in length.
- It cannot contain any part of your name or username
- It cannot be a password that you have used within the last year.
- Your Pomona password must also contain 3 the following:
- A lower-case letter
- An upper-case letter
- A number
Passwords expire after 180 days, at which point they must be changed.

How to come up with secure passwords every three months? Here’s how!
Use a short phrase and replace a few characters:
- “I like rice” becomes: iLikeR1ce
- “Catch 22″ becomes: catch-22
Take the first letter of each word in a sentence and replace a few characters:
- “My very big dog smells like dill pickles” becomes Mvbd$ldp
- “I am taking an underwater basket weaving class” becomes I@t4ubwc
