Stream Storage Server
This storage location is designed for users working on projects such as multimedia which require a larger amount of disk space than what is available in their own user space.
All users can access Stream and view the contents of the Storage directory. Users can create their own folders there, but are unable to access any folders which they did not create. When creating your folder, please name the folder with your username. Each folder is supposed to allow up to 1 GB of storage space.
As this is essentially temporary space for class/senior projects, all data in the storage directory will be deleted at the end of every semester. Please note that this data is not backed up at any point.
How to Access Stream
To access Stream using OS X while on the Pomona campus:
- In the Finder, under the “Go” menu, select: “Connect to Server”
[or, keystroke Apple-K] - In the “Server Address” window, enter:
smb://stream - Authenticate using your Pomona ID and password.
- After authenticating, select the shared volume “Storage” from the pull-down menu.
