Information for Graduating Seniors

Getting files off the network

If you have files on your network space that you would like to take with you when you leave, ITS can burn you a DVD copy. This is limited to documents and pictures — we can’t burn music or videos to disc for you.

To arrange this, please contact the Helpdesk.

Pomona e-mail after graduation

Starting with the members of the graduating classes of 2006, 2007 and for graduating classes following, ITS provides life-time email accounts for Pomona alumni. The email account address will be of the format: xxx2002@mymail.pomona.edu or xxx2003@mymail.pomona.edu (i.e. dependent on the student’s pomona username). This life-time account is scheduled to be activated for members of these graduating classes on August 1st 2007. Once activated, alumni are instructed to go to http://mail.live.com in order to access this life-time account. Users current login name (xxx2002 or xxx2003) and passwords work with this new email account.

It is important for 2006 and 2007 users of this service to note that this email account is separate from the pomona email account used as a student. ITS will leave alumni’s pomona student accounts up and accessible to alumni until August 30th 2007. During this time alumni are asked to move any email messages they wish to keep from their time as Pomona students and to notify everyone of the change in their email addresses.
